The Alaska Regional Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (AK-ACSM) is a diverse group of professionals and students dedicated to advancing and integrating scientific research to provide educational and practical applications of exercise science and sports medicine.
The chapter seeks to communicate scientific information, support research and foster professional interaction and growth. Our primary goals are to:
- Provide professional education in sports medicine and exercise science
- Introduce nonmember professionals and students to ACSM
- Broaden participation in ACSM programs and activities
- Serve as a proving ground for ACSM leadership
